LEARN HOW TO FLY FISH

Welcome to The School of FlyFishing curriculum program, "Learn How To Fly Fish."  This site is dedicated to informing educational institutions about our curriculum, which is designed specifically for teaching students how to fly fish in Colleges and Universities.

(For information on our companion "FlyFishing in Schools" program for middle schools and high schools, please visit: www.flyfishinginschools.org .)

The School of FlyFishing has been committed to teaching the positive lifetime rewards of flyfishing with all individuals from ages 8 to 88 for over 10 years.  Thousands of people have gained knowledge and skills from our flyfishing schools, books and digital media.

Colleges & Universities should consider implementing a flyfishing curriculum because:

  • flyfishing is not gender specific . . . a lifetime sport for all

  • flyfishing does not restrict entry due to age, gender or physical aptitude . . . everyone can benefit

  • flyfishing promotes conservation ethics and stewardship for the environment . . . fly fishers are known for these qualities

  • flyfishing creates individual self confidence and stick-to-it-ive-ness . . . one of the "by products" of flyfishing

  • flyfishing promotes personal humility, patience and self esteem . . . a character builder, if you will

The School of FlyFishing believes you can share the benefits of the sport with your students through the "Learn How To Fly Fish" curriculum.  It is an easy-to-use, easy-to-administer, yet comprehensive curriculum, designed to be fun and exciting for young adults.  The "Learn How To Fly Fish" curriculum provides a proven bottom to top method of teaching the knowledge and skills needed to to flyfish.
